Stortford LibDems Support the Civic Federation in the Fight Against Schools’ Move

The Bishop's Stortford High School and the Herts & Essex High School have appealed against the planning decisions by the East Herts Council. The Council refused the planning applications, which involved the moving of the two schools to green belt land at Whittington Way and building over 700 houses across the town on the vacated sites, on the Beldams Lane Playing Field and on land at Patmore Close.

Local Liberal Democrat Councillors Lobby Their Leader on University Tuition Fees

Liberal Democrat councillors, Mione Goldspink, Bob Taylor and Calvin Horner and activist, Mike Shaw (who is the Lib-Dem candidate in the Sawbridgeworth By-Election) have all sent e-mail messages to Nick Clegg, asking him to honour the Pledge which he made during the General Election campaign. They have asked him to vote against the Government Bill on University Tuition Fees.
